Andrea Matranga, from the University of Torino, will visit RITM from June 8 to 19.
His research lies at the intersection of economic history, political economy, and economic geography. It is distinguished by its use of unconventional data (climatic, archaeological, geographical, and satellite) and addresses original and varied problems, from the emergence of agriculture to the perpetuation of serfdom in Russia, or the links between mafias and unions in the United States, and the spread of Roman culture during the Empire.
We are thrilled to host him this spring!
