Jean-Damien Grassias joined RITM, Université Paris-Saclay, in September 2025 as an Assistant Professor of Marketing.
Trained in experimental social psychology and holding a PhD in management sciences, he studies social change by combining psychology, social marketing, and systems thinking. His research focuses primarily on household waste sorting in collective housing, in collaboration with eco-organizations, social housing providers, local authorities, and social and solidarity economy actors.
To analyze the decisions of residents and local stakeholders, he uses both quantitative and qualitative methods, including Necessary Condition Analysis, Structural Equation Modeling, and Causal Loop Diagrams. More broadly, his research program aims to design and test social marketing strategies within a systemic perspective on change.
