Valérie Nicolas-Hémar attended the ACR Conference 2021 organized by the Association for Consumer Research in Seattle (yet online!), on October 28 – 30, 2021.
She presented the paper entitled Food well-being at the time of Covid-19: The use of coping strategies rooted in caring for low socio-economic status families, co-written with Ophélie Mugel and Margot Dyen.
Abstract: This research investigates low socio-economic status consumers’ food well-being (FWB) during Covid-19 lockdown. Based on 14 interviews with families, it shows that their food-based coping strategies rely on intra- and extra-household relationships. Drawing from ethics of care, it highlights the key-role of caring activities by and for FWB.
